Residents of Fairmile Grange care home had an ‘eggs-tra’ special Easter weekend

One of the main events of the fun-filled weekend was the Easter egg hunt, which of course we had to organise, because what would Easter be without one? Our residents were delighted to help the children who took part in the hunt find the various eggs that were hidden throughout the home and its grounds. Whilst everyone was searching for the hidden chocolate, we also played a range of classic ABBA songs, which gave all of the Dancing Queens (and Kings!) a chance to show off their moves.

As well as the Easter egg hunt, there were various other activities for everyone to join in with, including an outdoor skittle alley and an Easter raffle, which our lovely resident Elaine won.

Our residents also spent part of the weekend making delicious chocolate crispy cakes. We always try and incorporate cooking and baking into our planned activities, as not only are these fun, but they are also said to reduce stress, anxiety and depression.

We had a ‘cracking’ time this Easter and would like to thank everyone who came along and made our celebrations ‘eggs-tra’ special.
