On Saturday 29th July, we held a Fashion Show Fundraiser for Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.
Julia’s House
As our visitors arrived, residents and guests enjoyed delicious sweet treats and beverages at the Cake and Tea Bar. In addition, the vintage market stall had a variety of classic hats, jewellery, handbags and other quirky accessories, which were donated by friends, family members and Julia’s House, the award-winning children’s hospice charity for Dorset and Wiltshire.
Fairmile Grange’s receptionist, Maddie, has recently achieved a Diploma in Nail Art; therefore, she provided manicures in return for donations. We also had live music, which was performed throughout the tea party, as the energy levels soared in anticipation of the main event.
Fashionistas
In true catwalk style, residents and our care team took to the runway together; strutting their stuff down the red carpet. They donned vintage clothes and accessories. Most of all though, our volunteer models were in fantastic spirits as they showed-off their best fashion show poses.
Charity Fundraiser
Most noteworthy, however, is that we raised £100 for Julia’s House, which is a charity dedicated to bringing comfort and care to families in the local community.
