The specialist residential, nursing and dementia care home in Christchurch, which is managed by Encore Care Homes, was praised for its safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led service; with all five key areas receiving a ‘good’ rating across the board, following an inspection in March.
Fairmile Grange, the residential, nursing and dementia care home in Christchurch, paid its respects to its first ever resident, Jack Wright, by planting a memorial tree and plaque in the home’s garden.
The staff at the care home in Christchurch were joined by Jack’s son and his family, who helped plant the tree. The engraved plaque, which stands at the foot of the tree, was donated to Fairmile Grange and Jack’s family, by Deric-Scott Funeral Directors.
Fairmile Grange has a unique partnership with the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch NHS Foundation Trust. Encore is the only care provider in the UK to have this unique partnership with the NHS, which allowed Encore to give back to the community by supporting the RBCH NHS Foundation Trust, to provide advanced new services at the Christchurch Hospital site. Since opening its doors in 2017, the partnership has delivered a range of new and improved hospital services and facilities, including a new GP surgery and hospital pharmacy.
