Our Wellbeing team at Fairmile Grange in Christchurch are celebrating after being shortlisted at the prestigious national Care Home Awards.
The Care Home Awards are benchmarks for innovation and excellence in care business management, care operations and delivery of service for the sector.
Our Wellbeing Team at Fairmile Grange in Christchurch, Dorset consists of six members of the team who go above and beyond to ensure our residents are happy and kept active and entertained, as much as possible during their day-to-day lives.
They are an integral team at our award-winning care home which is a purpose-built home positioned in the heart of Christchurch. Fairmile caters for residents with personalised care plans delivered by nurse-led professionals.
Kim Butters, Wellbeing Manager at Fairmile Grange, said: “It is fantastic news for everyone at Fairmile to be shortlisted for the Care Home Awards. Simply being recognised as a finalist is an amazing recognition of the efforts we make on a daily basis. We have such a fabulous team and every day is a joy to support our residents and support their creativity and freedom to express themselves.”
Our team at Fairmile have been nominated for this award due to the ongoing positive feedback they have received. The has come from our care home residents, their families, other staff members and the public. The winners of the Care Homes Award will be announced at a ceremony on 30th June at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.
Alison, daughter of a care home resident said: “The Wellbeing Team at Fairmile Grange are amazing. Kim and her team go above and beyond not just for the residents they care for but also for the loved ones who may need a hug or a shoulder to lean on.
“The team make sure the residents enjoy a variety of daily activities and for those residents who are too poorly to participate, Kim and her team spend time with them in their rooms, to do a crossword, play a game or just to have a chat. They bring out the personalities of the residents through laughter, singing, dancing, and bringing everyone together. They are an amazing team.”
Our four care homes provide care for residential, nursing, dementia and Alzheimer’s, palliative, and respite residents. This dedicated care includes a dedicated Wellbeing team in each home who are on hand to organise fun activities to support each resident’s physical, emotional, and holistic wellbeing.
