A fantastic, fun-filled weekend at Fairmile Grange care home

To mark the occasion, we invited the children from Shining Stars and Good Life Childminders into our care home to have a Teddy Bears Picnic with us. Due to the wet weather, we held an indoor picnic instead, which was just as much fun!

Not only did the children kindly attend our event, but they also brought along their favourite teddies to join in. Our residents had a lovely time dancing with the children to Disney songs, eating a selection of delicious treats and joining in with lots of different games.

We would like to say a big thank you to everyone from Shining Stars and Good Life Childminders for joining us – our residents had a ‘beary’ good day!

The fun however, did not stop there. On Saturday, June 8 we held a royal celebration to mark the Queen’s 93rd birthday and decorated the home with British flags. To start of the day, we held a royal quiz, which was then followed by a performance from The Swing Unlimited Community Big Band, who joined the party and played various songs for everyone to enjoy and dance along to. The weather may have been dull outside, but the atmosphere inside Fairmile Grange more than made up for it.

As well as serving cream tea in the afternoon, we also had a gin demonstration, where our residents and guests could try a selection of gins.

All in all, the weekend we had at Fairmile Grange was a lot of fun and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved.
